I bought this as a project car. I've done a lot of work to it to get it road worthy again. When I bought it, the paint was heavily oxidized, it had yellow vinyl on the front windshield, yellow plastic on the tubing in the engine bay. I got rid of all that crap ASAP. Since then I've replaced lots of engine componets, went through 2 alternators (and 3 belts on one of them), replaced all 4 rotors, calipers and brake pads. New shift boot, buffed out the paint and lots of other TLC work.

...except this constant noise! It sounds sort of like a power steering pump when you are turning around with the wheel turned as far as it will go. But the thing is, I dont have power steering in the 2. Yesterday it made a really horrid smell fill the cabin...

Fixed the Idle Problem, Found Another

Well I don't know if I posted about this but I found out what was causing my strange idle problem. It was a combination of the ISC valve not functioning properly and a vacuum leak. So that is fixed! I was finally driving the MR2 home when my tachometer...
