About me and my passion for cars

It started out when I was very young, about 5, I kid you not when I tell you that I lived on a street in Chicago named Archer ave and it is best described as it was the modern day version of the movie American Graffiti - no lie, hot rods and show cars driving up and down a 5 mile stretch cruising, this made me want a hot rod so bad, so as I grew older I was able to achieve that goal and got my first cool car, a 1971 Monte Carlo SS, and man o man was it a piece of crap but it was still cool, everyone has to start somewhere.It's too bad now that all that is gone now due to the cops hating us all cruising around til 4 in the morning on Friday and Saturday nights and hanging around in parking lots. As time went on I got a job working in a custom body shop where I learned the tricks of the trade, I did that for a few years and got tired of working on everyone else's cars, so I became an Electrician and still would do side work for friends and work on my own cars, which I still do today. I just love cars, it's a great hobby, a stress reliever, it gives you the ability to express your artistic side.not to say it's a great ego booster when someone pulls next to you on the street and stares at your car and pays you a complement on your ride, or laugh when someones girlfriend stares at you car and wants a ride and the boyfriend gets pissed off ---- I love it. It doesn't matter what you do to a car it is how you in-vision it, you can also hate a certain car or truck but appreciate it for what it is or what has been done to it, it's just a form of expression -- it's Americana

Car clubs I’m in

Car clubs are cool, most of my friends are in one the only difference is they pay dues and go to meetings, I hang out do the same stuff and they tell me about the meetings, not for me I guess
