About my passion for cars. mmm. Not just cars but anything with wheels on. As a 15 year old I rode for the Edmonton Saints Cycle Speedway team. I was so good that I was number 7 in the reserve team. Then I graduated to motor bikes. My cousins all raced but I never got into competion. Then after a few attempts to at killing myself I decided that four wheels were safer.
In the lat fifties I helped my brother convert a Ford Popular into a an Ashley Special (Kit Cars were called specials in those days). I was co-opted as his navigator and spent many happy nights trying to map read in the dark while we thrashed arounbd the lanes of Hertfordshire and nearby counties. All illegal now.

No motor bikes now but I do own a couple of Electric mountain bikes. Off the road for the time being due to lack of money.

My first car

A 1959 Morris Minor 1000. It ended up with various goodies on it and in the early sixties being belted around various circuits in the summer and rallies in the winter. Normally in the top 5 with the rare first.

My dream car

A 1929 Bentley Speed Six. I've wanted one since I was about 8 years old and still do.
