Fab Fours Announces First-of-its-Kind ADAS Compatible Aftermarket Bumpers

LANCASTER, SC: Fab Fours, an industry leader in aftermarket accessories for trucks and Jeeps, is excited to announce that its newest bumpers are now ADAS-compatible.

Until now, off-roaders and custom Jeep or truck owners have had to weigh the trade-offs between custom bumpers and modern safety technology, like Adaptive Cruise Control. Fab Fours has conducted extensive testing and validation in partnership with a third-party to ensure that every Fab Fours SmartSteel bumper is compatible with OEM ADAS technology.

“We noticed that drivers want to upgrade their vehicles with the protection and style of a steel bumper without having to sacrifice their modern safety features,” said Matt McShane, Site Leader of Fab Fours, Inc., based in South Carolina. “We thought, why can’t you have both? So we decided to do what we always do: push boundaries until we make the impossible feel normal.”

SmartSteel technology is not a new product line, but a reflection of Fab Fours’ updated methodology for engineering, testing, and verifying its products to ensure seamless integration with OEM safety features, such as front-facing cameras, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

SmartSteel bumpers are currently available for the 2025+ Toyota 4-Runner and the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma. Fab Fours will also work to include SmartSteel in future front and rear bumper launches. Customers looking to see which Fab Fours bumpers are ADAS compatible should look for the new SmartSteel badge on product pages and future materials.

That’s not changing,” said McShane. “What SmartSteel brings to our customers is a new way of measuring, testing and calibrating our products to make sure that, when they get installed on your vehicle, everything works as it should.”

Fab Fours partners with third-party experts to test and verify each product to ensure it meets SmartSteel standards. The bumpers include pre-fabricated mounting positions to easily place standard OEM ADAS technology.
