Custom Culture Takes Over Talladega

You know it’s going to be a solid weekend when Battle in Bama hits the calendar. This year at Talladega Superspeedway, the show didn’t just meet expectations—it blew them wide open.

For 2025, the crew brought the heat with a full-throttle weekend combining Battle in Bama and OBS Nationals at one of the most iconic tracks in the country. Trucks rolled in from all over the country—slammed, bagged, lifted, patina-clad—you name it. We’re talking classic Chevys, Squarebodies, OBS builds, full-tilt show rigs, mini-trucks, and even a few wild cards we didn’t see coming. Rows of clean paint, polished wheels, custom interiors, and trick setups lined the infield while spectators packed in for the show.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Bama without the extras. The burnout pit stayed smoky all weekend, the autocross had folks putting their rides to the ultimate test, and vendors filled the midway with everything from billet wheels to monster trucks. The swap meet and marketplace were buzzing, and the overall vibe was family-friendly but still had that down-home, gearhead grit we all love.

One of the biggest highlights? Getting a chance to cruise the Talladega track. You read that right. Participants were able to take a slow lap around the same high banks NASCAR legends have tackled. It doesn’t get much cooler than that.

This show has always had a solid reputation, but now with the new venue and even bigger turnout, Battle in Bama has cemented its spot as one of the heavy hitters in the custom truck scene. Hats off to Craig and the showrunners for pulling off another flawless weekend.

Big thanks to Damien Davis for capturing the killer shots you’ll see across the following pages.
