Press Release
Corona, California – August 25, 2026 – TMI Products is proud to announce that Bryan Lussier and his stunning 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer captured the win at the fourth stop of the 2026 TMI TRIM Road Tour, held during TMI’s 5th Annual Cars & Clearance Event. The award-winning Squarebody is a perfect example of how thoughtful customization and exceptional interior design can completely transform a classic truck.
The winning vehicle was personally selected by Jason Muligan and Marcel Venable of Auto Revolution, who evaluated an elite field of contenders before choosing Lussier’s K5 Blazer for its flawless execution, innovative design, and undeniable show presence.
Bryan’s 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer combines classic Squarebody styling with modern performance and meticulous craftsmanship. The truck immediately commands attention with its vibrant custom blue-and-white paint scheme and aggressive stance, sitting aired out over a set of retro-inspired 22-inch Coys Wheels. Under the hood, the Blazer packs serious LS power, cleverly dressed to maintain an old-school appearance with a retro-style air cleaner accented by custom pinstriping. The performance package is complemented by a Black Widow Exhaust system that gives the truck an unmistakable, aggressive sound.
While the exterior and drivetrain make a strong first impression, every TMI TRIM Road Tour winner knows that the interior often sets a build apart from the competition.
Rather than treating the cabin as an afterthought, Lussier ensured the interior received the same level of attention as the exterior. The TMI-equipped interior features custom Pro Series Low-Back Bucket Seats upholstered in steel blue distressed gray vinyl, accented by blue-and-white plaid inserts and contrasting white stitching that seamlessly ties the interior to the Blazer’s exterior color palette.
Continuing the cohesive design theme and color way, Lussier incorporated a matching 48-inch TMI Pro Series Bench Seat, molded fiberglass door panels, molded fiber glass dash pad, quarter panels, and a full-wrap TMI steering wheel. The same premium materials were used to create a custom air tank enclosure, while Eric at Old School Upholstery refinished the factory center console to match the rest of the interior.
Additional custom touches, including a plaid headliner and custom bed rail covers, reinforce the truck’s unified design. Every element works together to create a finished, intentional appearance that enhances the classic character of the K5 while elevating it to modern show-truck standards.
That balance between heritage and innovation is exactly what makes this Blazer stand out. It retains the personality and rugged appeal that made the Squarebody K5 an icon while showcasing the craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail expected from a TMI TRIM Road Tour champion.
From its eye-catching exterior and powerful drivetrain to its award-winning interior, Bryan Lussier’s 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer delivered the complete package, earning the fourth victory of the 2026 TMI TRIM Road Tour season.
