Description: I had owned this Camaro a few years ago. It was actually nicer than it looks - it had all new sheet metal & fresh engine rebuild. It was 327/210 with Air-Gap Intake & 650 double pumper Holley. It had a 350/295 HP Cam, ceramic coated headers & Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust. With M21 & 12 bolt, 4:11 Posi, it was a blast to drive. It was a tough to get traction, but I had a best pass of 13.30 with this car.
This car morphed into what is shown here. Obviously, it didn't come from the factory this way...what I mean is, It's "personality" morphed over time. It started life as a '67 RS, 327/210, power-glide, console, AC, PS, PB, Deluxe Interior, Deluxe steering wheel, Deluxe seat belts, Royal Plum with Black vinyle top & white Bumble-Bee stripe. It had a 10 bolt one wheeler, mono leaf and single exhaust.
By the time I got it, it had been converted to a 4 speed. The conversion was done quite nicely - all original parts were used and nothing looked out of place. Multi-leaf rear springs & 12 bolt were already introduced. The original 2 barrel intake & exhaust had also already been replaced.
I'm sure for many collectors and from an investment point view, restoring the car to original specs would have made the most sense. But it was just so much fun the way it was. I was constantly on fence about what to do with it (ex. restore it to original, keep as sort of rat rod or do a restification to it) - so I sold it.
