Kind of an odd duck, like myself ! ;)
Lots of billet inside.
Runs like a champ but the steering rubs going around even the smallest corner.
I spent close to $500.00 on new springs etc... to try and fix this but the cold hard fact was that the frame (68 Camaro) did not line up well with the front fiberglass tilt front end and the only way to fix that issue was to cut the fiberglass and redo the paint where it rubs. Too much money for me at this time. So its just a straight line drag truck for now but still street legal...sort of.
396 Chevy engine matched to a TH-400.
Swirl heads, ported & tuned.
Pics show the single 850 holly carb, it now has a dual carb (twin 600`s) setup.
Dyno tested at 530hp, that was before adding the 150hp shot of Nos.
I know, I know, A Chevy engine in A Ford like this !!!
Pretty old, Not many options
Ladder bar rear suspension, Extra large 45 series Mickey Thompsons on the rear, 8 inch skiinies on the front, 396 Chevy engine says enough.
