I purchased this truck at the end of the 2006 show season. It had already been modified, with a 4" roof chop & 1970 Camaro running gear, including the front clip & 305. I had it straightened & resprayed black, fitted a Chevy 350 & had a complete interior built from scratch, since it only had a tired old bench seat. As far as I can gather, the truck arrived in the UK in original red livery back in 1993. The previous owners had all the modifications done & it was featured in Street Machine magazine back in 1998, with it's roof chop & Jaguar Navy Blue paint. It didn't get a floor in the buck & was only used for the odd show & mainly to transport hay around a farm.
Lots of money later, it's now black with biscuit & sable leather interior & chrome ididit column.
It's still not quite finished, but lately I've been getting the feeling that this will always be the case!
It's 17 feet long & the cab sits about 6 feet tall. The donor car was a 1970 Camaro & most of it's running gear was used in the original build. It's now powered by a Chevy 350 V8 overbored by 30 thou & a TH350 box with shift kit. I haven't been dyno'd yet, so specific details on power are pending.
No top speed or 1/4 mile times either as yet, but come next year....
Power steering, but no heater or air con.
4" roof chop
