That Dark Green was about the prettiest color for a '65! trophy image
(My first Corvair was a Dark Green '65 Monza coupe, and I had a '65 Corsa convertible the same color for a little while. Unfortunately, it was too far gone to save. weepy image )

Photo of a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza (The Vert)

This is my very first car that I bought while a sophmore in college.
I drove a friends 63 coupe and 64 Spyder convertible all through High School and that is what got me hooked on them.

2.7L flat air-cooled 6 cylinder. 140HP 4-carb engine.
4-speed manual.

Factory Options

Standard Monza trim.

OTTO OT 20 cam, lifters, springs, pushrods, retainers.
Roller rockers
TRW .30 over Forged Pistons
OTTO high vol oil pump
Headers with Hedman mufflers. Too Loud!
Center mount Rochester 4-Barrel (experimenting with it)
Since went back to stock 4x1bbl carbs.
Clark's Finned oil pan and rocker covers.
1966+ 4-speed "Saginaw" transmission and 3.55 diff.
Clark's HD springs
Quick steering arms
Corsa Dash.
Corsa Enterprises spoiler. (HUGE difference in handling)
10" sub mounted in center armrest. (Buddy made it for me and it is a work of art)
6.5" speakers in front center console (also made by my friend).
Surface mount tweeters on dash.
5.25" speakers in rear seat armrests.

Probably something else I am forgetting too..
