1973 Mercury Capri GT (Capri)

Last updated Oct 23, 2010

Photo of a 1973 Mercury Capri GT (Capri)

Was found in a junkjard by my father. The car was a racing machine when we got it. The engine was rebuilt at the time the engine parts were easy to find, not now. It was repainted red. It was in a drag race once but I didnot get to race it ,it was done buy a friend of my father witch was a perfetional racer. Then a couple of years later repainted and added the racing white line witch by the way I hate, it was done without my request.Know it has a bad knocking noise and I cant find parts for the engine.

All I know is that the engine size is 2.6 V6 carburated. The car did great on gas

Factory Options

The car has no power steering and no air conditioning or heater. The car was a racing car so the important stuff was not that important in racing. It also has a roll cage in side witch is wellded pretty good and every one loves the roll cage for some reason.

Only the paint job is the only mod everything else is pretty much stock. Well the widebody flares are mods but where already installed.
