I have been a big Trans Am fan and owner over the years. I have had 2 '79 Tenth Anniversary's in both the 403 and 400 versions. I have also had 2 '70.5 Ram Air III Trans Am's. The '70's were numbers matching, stock cars and I was always afraid to modify the cars in anyway. Last year I was in the market for another TA and I was wanting to finally purchase my first 455 Poncho. I also was looking to modify the car with a 5sp and other good mods. I stumbled across a '73 TA that fit all my criteria. Update Aug 2010 - The car as been undergoing a frame off restoration and modifications since Oct 2009. Here are the new pictures of the car.
All I can say is Butler Power!! We have a Pontiac 535 block with Edlebrock heads. The first dyno pull with only a few hours on the motor yielded 657HP!! We are shooting for 700.
The list is long including: Modified Tremec 5speed, Moser 9" rear end, DSE 4-Link rear suspension, ProTouring tubular front suspension, DSE mini-tub, 18x10 and 18x12 Rushforth wheels, DSE subframe connectors, custom Curello seats with matching stock rear seats, six piston Wilwood brakes and more
