Bought it in 1984 just out of H.S. - Motor rebuilt in 86' and again in 93' during mild restoration. Currently undergoing deeper restoration and expect to have it back on the road this summer.
74' 400 cid bored .030 over w/TRW pistons, Crane Cam/Lifters - stock heads. Factory 4-speed, but replaced with a Muncie M21 close-ratio w/Hurst in-line shifter and a 72' 4.11 posi rear end. Recently dyno'd for the first time - 302 hp and 308 ft lbs. torque @ 3400 rpm
Still designing the custom paint job but have already purchased the paint - black cherry and charcoal gray. I've had the rear suspension rebuilt - the local St. Louis spring co. makes a beautiful set of 5-leaf heavy duty springs and all new brackets/bushing. Rebuilding the front end as well as adding frame rail connectors and solid body mount bushings. I've also added the 1-year only formula hood in lieu of the stock.
