Not long after I got this car, 38 Special came to Jacksonville to perform their Wild Eyed Southern Boys concert. The day after the concert, I went across the street from my home and asked my neighbor Jeff Carlisi and family to pose with me next to the car. In the picture from left to right is Mr. Carlisi, Jeff Carlisi, Jeff's significant other, Myself, and Mrs. Carlisi. Jeff Carlisi played lead guitar in the band.
This is the car that started my Trans Am fascination. It was my second car. It came straight off the used car lot at Regency Dodge in Jacksonville, Florida. I was the second owner and I got ALL the goodie out of this one. I believe it was late 1981 when I got it and it was my main set of wheels until I got married in 1986. When I traded it, the floor pans and rear frame rails were shot from the many trips to the beach. I traded it heads up for a Chevy full size blazer which I regret to this day.
Standard 1978 Trans AM with 6.6 litre engine. White exterior and red & white interior.
I ended up adding Hooker headers, a shift kit, a slap stick t-handle shifter, an Edelbrock P4B manifold and Nitrous injection.
The rallye wheels were swapped for honeycombs about the time I got her repainted.
