I bought this car in 1988 for my 24th birthday.
It was sitting on a Toyota lot in Minnesota and I traded my 1979 10th Ann T/A for it.
I had really wanted a 5-spd car and finding this one was like a needle in a hay stack, as the 5-spd car were also hard to find in any kind of shape.
I drove it for several years as my daily driver until I decided to repaint it and swap engines, both of which were done by me in my home garage.
Since doing all the paint, body, interior, engine, and suspension work to it, it has been reserved to weekend runs, car shows, and club meet during the summer months.
I thought of selling it a few times, but can't quite make myself do it, mostly because of the rarity of the 83 being the 1st year for the 5 spd, and in a way, it's a sleeper, as anyone that can remember these car new, they were NOT fast by any means, but now that mine has a 320 HP 350 in it, it runs neck & neck with stock LS1 4th gens, so I guess it's a keeper for the foreseeable future.
350 V8, 320 HP, 350 TQ.

5 spd, WS6, t-tops, cloth interior
L31 Vortec 350, Eibach springs, subframe connectors. 1987 Formula 16" wheels (245 front, 255 rear tires), Auburn LSD, 1995 Formula seats, 1997 Camaro rear 11.5 PBR brakes, Headman shorty headers, 1997 WS6 exhaust tips, 1985 Tail lights, Hurst shifter.
