Very nice job for backyard, man! It's nice to see younger folks with newer cars fixing them up the old school way! You'll get that 50s car someday kid, but congrats with the Olds so far.

1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham (The Blue Suede 88)

Photo of a 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham (The Blue Suede 88)

This car started out as a regular plain jane gray 4 door sedan. Within moments of acquiring the car at 15, I knew right away after seeing Jim Cirovello's 59 Chevy panel painting, I would do the Delta 88 as a kustom, not having the money to afford a nice 50s car at the time. So I decided, while I save for my 50s car to acquire in only a few years, I would enjoy this the best I could with the traditional taste, much like how guys back in the day fixed up their 50s cars mildly while the *big* dream was to get a 32 Ford coupe or comparable hotrod material. I refuse to consider this car "old school" as this is not a term that was used back in the late '50s.

Small block 307 v8, TH200.
