It's so sad to hear about you wrecking your El Camino! It was a pretty truck. I'm just glad you weren't hurt.

No longer owned

This was my daily driver. I bought it when I started leaving early for high school. I was originally looking at a '92 5.0 Mustang, but insurance was ridiculous, and 3 other people had one just like it. I wanted something different, something that would stand out. My mom ended up pointing the Elky out to me. At first I was a little reluctant, but I was glad I bought it. I had it for three years and the only thing I had to replace that was the radiator. It got around 14-15 mpg city and 24-27 mpg highway. Unfortunately, on August 26, 2008 I fell asleep behind the wheel and hit a tree around 50 mph, and I totalled it.

Stock 305 cid V8 4bbl that pushed 150HP and 240 Ft-lbs Tq at rear wheels. It had a Turbo Hydra-Matic 200-4R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with 2.73 rear gears.

Factory Options

It was orignally equiped with air conditioning, posi-rear diff, rear air shocks.

K&N Air cleaner along with air cleaner snout extension so it pulled air from behind the grill. The wheels were Ansen Slotted Mags, 14X7 in the front, 14X10 in the rear.
