i bought this car from my cousin for $400 when i was 17. the day i saw it i wanted it, it had all the features i wanted and it was a perfect car for the engine swap i had in mind. it was the 2.8L 5spd. only thing it needed was a new tranny. i bought this car so i do one thing, drop a 3400 in it and race!
my best quater mile time with the stock 2.8L, exhaust, and suspension was 16.42
my best quater mile time with the stock 3400, spec stage 2 pressure plate, stock clutch disk, exhaust, suspension and running off a 2.8L ecu was 14.88. and pulling 2.2 60ft with yokohama v4s all seasons! i cant wait to use decent tires

3400 swap (3.4L from an 01 impalla), eibach springs, kyb shocks and struts, GM strut tower brace, shock tower brace, addco 1" rear swaybar, polly swaybar end links, polly swapbar bushings and controll arm bushings, rebuild tranny with team green LSD (which is useless), 2.5" mandrel bent pipe with magnaflow muffler and cat, filled motor mounts, and solid dogbone tranny mount
i am also rebuilding a 3400 with some goodies. paralalled and preped block, 1393 custom cam grind from 60degreev6.com, comp cams valve springs and retainers, 3500 heads and intake plenums, cyrogenic treated rods, possablu a fidanza aluminum flywheel (depending if i decited to use it again), fast forward perfromance under drive pully, 65mm tce throttle body, and the ostrich ecu emulator. i plan on buying some JE fogred pistons for 10.5:1 compression, stage 1 or 2 clutch, and everything will be ballanced. im hoping for 250whp, im not sure if i will make it but i think it will be close. im also hoping for mid 13s in the quater mile, but we will see
