Purchased the car basically as is, but it's been a bit of an albatross since I got it back from Cali.
First I lost a fog light to a semi re-tread on I-80 at 2am, then I lost the fan belt (i.e. water pump belt) 7 miles from home on a 1500-mile trip, and now, a head gasket.
However, with he suspension mods it has, there is almost NO body roll... and I like it!
1.8L I4, 138hp, 2.5lb-ft, 5-spd, weighs about 3000lbs with me in it.
3.91 LSD, 330i Rear Brakes, E36 M3 front brakes and Bilstien struts, Race Springs, Manual Vader Seats (M3 Sport seats), HIDs, HID Fogs, 95 M3 Double-Spoke 1 17x8 wheels, SatNav/DVD player and LOTS of negative camber

So, I take the car to the shop to have the springs swapped and snows put on... should be about $400 maybe $500 with a couple extra fixes tossed in. um, wow. 1) Bent strut 2) destroyed backing plates on rear brakes, which means 3) needs new wheel bearings...

well phase one is finally complete... I drove the car (YES, DROVE THE CAR) to the exhaust shop tonight to have it sorted out/welded up, and I purged and bled the coolant system (will have to bleed it again, I'm sure). huge thanks to armen for helping me...
