This was one of the CH53s from our squadron in Saudi. We called this the Kickin' Chicken because of the way it shook when it turned up before the main rotors were at 100%. It was also known as Barbie because of the side art of a Barbie silhouette in the desert paint scheme.
This aircraft has 3 Pratt Whitney engines, one in the center flanked by one at each side. Capable of flying over 250 knots. One of onle a few Helos that can do an end-to-end barrel roll loop.
Capable of Arial refueling from a retractable probe. Mine sweeping equipment and recon cameras added as needed.
