While DCTs are capable of seamless shifts, they can suffer from shudder or lurching at slow speeds. Transmission fluid with specific frictional properties is required to prevent shudder. The concept of two transmissions working in tandem within one vehicle dates back to the 1930s. The dual-clutch transmission (DCT) made its first practical appearance decades later in several 1980s-era race cars. The PPE Inlet hose is smooth inside and has a large radius bend. This 6mm 5ply design allows better airflow between air filter and throttle body.

Thermaflect Sleeve™ is the quick and easy way to protect lines, wiring bundles and air-intake tubes from excessive ambient heat, which can reduce efficiency and damage components. Thermaflect Sleeve reflects up to 90 percent of radiant heat away from any components on which it’s installed (requires minimum of 1 inch airspace and good airflow) . It can withstand a constant 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
When wiring is exposed to excessive heat, it can be damaged, and electrical resistance could increase, which often leads to electrical problems. Also, heat is transferred inside the fluid lines, which can raise fluid temps beyond recommended levels and reduce braking and steering performance, as well as cause the fuel system to vapor lock. As for the air-intake tube, ambient heat can increases the temperature of the air inside the tube, reducing potential engine power. But the Thermaflect Sleeve prevents all those issues.
