HILLCO ANNUAL SUPER CRUISE

Roger Rohrdanz October 22, 2022 All Feature Vehicles

What are you doing the morning of the Super Bowl?  For the past 11 years on Super Bowl Sunday, Hillco Fasteners has opened their store for their customers to come visit before the big game. Usually about a 100-plus cars show up. This year the weather was perfect, the time must have been right and an estimated 300 cars filled the lots in front of the buildings facing the street and all of the parking around the Hillco store. Classic cars were still driving by at 11 a.m.!

As usual, it was a very eclectic collection of vehicles ranging in age from 1914 to 2014, domestics and import cars, race cars, off-road cars, muscle cars, customs, hot rods, motorcycles, traditional rods and some big tractors. Hillco held a raffle and a 50/50 with the proceeds going to the Gary Sinise Foundation. If you weren’t there, come next year, but make sure you arrive early.

Owners Jack and Billie Hill were on hand to greet early arrivers.
The team that makes it all happen (L-R), Gary, Jessica and Malinda.
Evening Orchard is the color of Darryle Pedersen’s ’65 Chevy Impala SS convertible.
These three cars are Lamborghini Espadas: ’69, ’72 and ‘74.
Bobby Gomez of Santa Ana brought his 502 Chevy-powered ’57 Chevy four-door race car.

This indescribable creation was built by owner Ken Erickson. Believe it or not, he started with a ’61 Ford pickup.

A very well done Gen I Camaro muscle car.

McNasty was well named and placed in a strategic location at the entrance to Hillco.
This clean ’68 Ford Mustang GT belongs to Jeff Weiss of Costa Mesa, CA.

This very custom ’52 Chevy coupe has been extensively massaged by its owner Bob Zwierz of Fullerton. The Zwierz Chevy coupe is powered by a 402 Chevy.

There was even a cool-looking land speed car.
This Model T Ford has a corrugated roof and hood. Appropriately enough, Jeff Hood owns it.
