The Ready Run Precision Plus Cab & Chassis Engine Package is a fully assembled, drop-in remanufactured solution built specifically for RAM 3500 Cab & Chassis applications while retaining the same proven Precision Plus and BD Diesel components used in the standard pickup engine package.
This package starts with the Precision Plus Remanufactured Long Block and is completed with a full suite of BD Diesel–engineered components, delivering reliable OEM-plus performance, durability, and ease of installation for commercial-duty Cummins platforms.
The engine comes fully dressed with a complete high-pressure fuel system—from the CP3 pump through the injectors—along with a remanufactured turbocharger, exhaust manifold, and critical supporting components. Final assembly includes a new water pump, valve cover, and BD Killer Grid Heater upgrade, ensuring this engine is ready to install and work.
Each engine is built with meticulous attention to detail by experienced technicians, offering confidence and long-term reliability for fleet, upfitting, and vocational truck applications.
Comprehensive Inspection: Fully disassembled, crack-checked, and inspected. All threaded holes are tapped, blasted, and cleaned prior to machining.
Precision Machining: CNC blueprinted, bored, honed, and deck-surfaced. Crankshafts are measured for straightness and journal size and repaired as needed.
Detailed Measurement & Cleaning: Blocks are thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Bearing clearances, piston-to-wall clearance, piston protrusion, deck height, and hone surfaces are all measured and verified. Pistons, rods, and ring gaps are double-checked and corrected as required.
Controlled Assembly: Assembled in a clean-room environment by skilled technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
High-Precision Cylinder Head: Cylinder heads are disassembled, crack-checked, and fitted with heavy-duty valve seats. CNC valve job performed using a Newen seat and guide machine, then cleaned, assembled, and pressure-tested.
ARP 2000 Head Studs: Every long block is assembled with ARP 2000 studs to ensure a reliable head-to-block seal under sustained load.
