Ridetech’s StreetGRIP suspension system brings modern handling, ride quality, and a great lowered stance to the 1963-1982 Corvette. Whether a Corvette is being fully restored, or built up as a restomod or pro-touring car, StreetGRIP systems transform the driving experience for the better.
The StreetGRIP system is easy to install and contains everything needed to get the job done including lowering springs, adjustable shocks, high performance self-lubricating bushings, a larger heavy duty sway bar, and optional steel rear leaf springs. Hardware and instructions are also included.
One of Ridetech’s industry exclusives is that their Fox Factory shocks carry a million and one mile warranty. With the StreetGRIP system, driving on the highway becomes more of a pleasure. The chassis will feel more settled and controlled. When the road gets curvy, StreetGRIP keeps the vehicle’s tires planted, reduces body roll and sharpens steering response for a much improved driving experience in these classic cars.
Features & Benefits:
  • The NEW Ridetech Steel Rear Leaf Spring features an industry exclusive: 9 total leafs, the first six are full-length and measure in at a more favorable base spring rate of 175 lb./in. rate versus the stock 140 lb./in. rate. The rate jumps up to 225 lb./in. when on the three overload leafs. This design translates to minimized body roll all while maintaining an excellent ride quality. They are coated with an epoxy/graphite primer and black topcoat for durable corrosion resistance. Included are all-new Grade 8 hardware to attach the differential and side shims that ensure fitment on all 1963-1982 Corvettes with 2.25″ and 2.5” wide leaf.
  • Designed and developed Ridetech’s ISO 9001 certified USA facility.
  • Lowers C2/C3 Corvettes up to 2” via lowering springs in the front and rear lowering bolts.
  • Vehicle-specific Ridetech HQ or RQ-S Series Shocks feature 24-position rebound adjustment to tune ride and handling to driver preference. The HQ’s use an aluminum body and the RQ-S a steel body. Both shocks use the same Fox Factory internal components.
  • Vehicle-specific Dual-Rate Coil Springs drop the front 2” from stock ride height, and offer the best of both worlds … ride quality & sporty handling.
  • Self-lubricating Delrin control arm & sway bar bushings eliminate unwanted movement and stiction, and slop.
  • A heavy duty, large diameter (1.125” OD) front sway bar minimizes unwanted body roll.
  • Includes 1-2″ rear lowering bolts, 9.5″ stainless steel bolt, bushings & aluminum spacers to tune height.
  • Compatible with existing stock Corvette leaf spring or new Ridetech Steel Leaf Spring.

Application Fitment:

  • 1963-1967 C2 Corvette
  • 1968-1982 C3 Corvette
