Pensacola, Fla. (Aug. 6, 2025) – Velocity, an industry leader in classic vehicle modernization, has just announced new additions to its lineup of modernized classic F-series trucks. Known for their concaved body lines, the all-new 1973-79 “Dentside” Ford pickups are fully reimagined by the Velocity team with redesigned interiors and powertrains to operate as turnkey drivers. Key features across all models include a Coyote V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, all mounted to a Roadster Shop chassis, along with modern luxuries like a Vintage Air climate-control system and a Bluetooth stereo. Velocity also offers a variety of paint and trim options, as well as other optional upgrades for customers to choose from.

The new lineup of Dentside trucks is powered by a Ford Performance Gen III 5.0L Coyote V8, making 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque paired with a Ford 10R80 automatic transmission. Velocity’s proprietary serpentine system keeps things moving under the hood, and a custom-built exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers gives each truck a distinct rumble. Everything sits on a Velocity-exclusive Roadster Shop spec chassis, providing a comfortable ride. The street-focused Dentside F-100 gets independent front suspension and a Ford 9-inch rear axle, while the more rugged four-wheel-drive F-150 and F-250 trucks come equipped with solid Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear axles. All 4×4 models receive four-wheel disc brakes courtesy of Wilwood, while the F-100 features Baer brakes.

The exterior is where Velocity sets these trucks apart from their predecessors. The Dentside body style replaced the “Bumpside” generation with recessed side panels and sharper angles that reflect the styling shift of the late 1970s. The bodywork on the 1973-79 generation of Velocity F-series trucks reflects this iconic style, providing a unique grille and side panels compared to the previously available 1967-72 Bumpside trucks. The Dentside Fords feature a chrome grille with Ford lettering and new LED headlights to light up the night. The signature concaved bodylines of the Dentside are accentuated by racetrack trim and optional two-toned paint, while chrome bumpers and all-new glass and weather seals make the truck feel brand new. Retractable running boards from AMP Research provide easy access to the cabin on the F-150 and F-250 models.

Velocity’s signature interior begins with a custom bench seat, a Velocity-exclusive Dakota Digital gauge cluster, power windows and a carpeted interior across all models. Sound in the cabin comes through a Bluetooth-enabled head unit that routes tunes through a Focal sound system. Vintage Air provides modern climate control, and a classic wood steering wheel attached to an Ididit tilt column completes the interior.

In addition to the standard Signature Series, Velocity offers a more premium Street Series for the Dentside Ford F-100 models and the Heritage Series for the F-150 and F-250. The Street Series includes performance upgrades such as two-way adjustable Fox coilovers, larger six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors for additional stopping power, and 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Forgeline wheels wrapped in 255/45ZR19 front and 295/40ZR20 rear Michelin tires.

Both Street and Heritage Series trims receive several aesthetic upgrades to elevate the experience. The exterior sets itself apart with two-toned BASF Glasurit paint options, a color-matched Raptor Liner bed liner and custom-machined exterior billet components, including door handles, side mirrors, hood badging and tailgate handle. Inside, the bench seat is stitched with premium leather, which also wraps the Sparc Industries steering wheel. The interior also gets the billet treatment with door handles, window cranks, window pulls and dash knobs, all machined by Velocity. Lastly, the radio is swapped with an Alpine double-din head unit, and a backup camera is added for additional safety.

“The Dentside era of the Ford F-series is truly an icon of American craftsmanship,” said Velocity CEO Stuart Wilson. “Our Bumpside F-series trucks are among our most popular models, so adding the next generation made sense. We’re always looking to evolve our offerings at Velocity and give customers the opportunity to drive their own piece of history. We’re excited to offer this next generation of trucks and to get them into the hands of drivers around the world.”

The Velocity Dentside Ford models start at $279,900 and join the brand’s growing lineup of modernized classic vehicles, alongside the Chevy K5 Blazer, Ford Bronco, Chevy K/C trucks, International Scout II and Ford Mustang lines. Each vehicle is built entirely in-house on a guaranteed timeline. Velocity is taking reservations for all three models now.
