Rides Roll Deep and Heart Runs Deeper

Pulling into Tombigbee State Park in Tupelo, Mississippi, for another year feels like coming home to a family reunion where everyone has a story and a socket set. August 15-16, 2025, marked another Redemption Day show that delivered on every front—mini-trucks gleaming under the Mississippi sun, classic trucks rumbling like old war stories, and enough variety to keep any gearhead glued to the pavement. I’ve shot this event since it was still finding its legs, and let me tell you, it just keeps getting better. The air is thick with the mixture of exhaust and barbecue scents. The lot was a rolling museum of slammed C10s next to lifted Broncos, imports with neon lights, and bikes that could carve the canyons. There’s no gatekeeping here! Any make and any model gets a spot, and that’s what hooks you year after year.

The awards hit different too! 55 builds took home hardware, plus those specialty nods for wild paint jobs and thumping audio setups that had folks cranking necks from across the field. But here’s the real magic: Redemption Day isn’t just chrome and carbs. Every dollar funnels straight to God’s House of Hope, helping folks claw back from the brink. I’ve seen builders who started as spectators end up volunteering, wrench in one hand, and a check in the other. It’s the kind of event that reminds you why we chase this life. It’s not for the trophies, but for the pull-up-a-chair moments where a stranger becomes a friend over a story and some cold ones.

Shoutout to Chase Ward and his crew. They’ve turned a simple park meet into a movement, all while keeping it family-friendly and zero-drama. The vibe? Pure Southern hospitality with a side of speed. If you’re nursing regrets from missing the 2025 show, don’t sleep on next year. Circle the dates, load the trailer, and roll in. I’ll be there, camera ready, chasing that perfect light on whatever beast you bring.
