Celebrating Ford Trucks in the Smoky Mountains

A welcomed change arrives near the end of truck show season. The foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains come alive with the sound of Ford muscle. Enthusiasts from all over the Americas gather for the F-100 Super Nationals, one of the premier Ford car and truck shows in the United States. Held at the Sevierville Convention Center in Sevierville, Tennessee, the show has become a welcoming event for vintage truck culture, drawing builders, collectors, families, and spectators alike to celebrate America’s automotive heritage.

The F-100 Super Nationals has deep roots in the mountains of Tennessee, with a history spanning decades. What began as a small gathering of Ford pickup owners has evolved into an annual three-day celebration of craftsmanship, restoration, and common bonds. The event traditionally takes place in mid-September. The 2025 show was held September 18th-20th, and the 2026 show is scheduled for September 17th-19th at the Sevierville Convention Center.

From the moment the opening ceremony begins, the Super Nationals offers a full slate of booths for attendees of many ages. Hundreds of Fords spanning generations from the post-war era through the classic pickups of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s fill both indoor and outdoor show spaces. These vehicles showcase everything from expertly restored originals and patina home restorations to highly customized builds.

The swap meet, just outside the docks, is the crowd favorite. It’s just another reason to show up on Thursday for the opportunity to be one of the first through the gates. Enthusiasts can explore rows of vendors inside and out offering parts, accessories, memorabilia, and even tools! It’s a treasure trove for restorers and hobbyists searching for rare components or expert advice.

Beyond the trucks, the Super Nationals fosters a culture of friendship and shared passion. Longtime attendees reconnect with old friends, newcomers swap stories with seasoned builders, and families enjoy a relaxed day admiring iconic classics, and many can splash in the nearby water park.

A highlight of the event is the awards program, which typically includes categories like Best in Show, Best Patina, Best Interior, and Best Custom, recognizing standout trucks in a range of styles and conditions.

While the heart of the event is the truck show itself, many visitors take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Sevierville, along with neighboring Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, offers a rich array of entertainment from scenic drives through the Smoky Mountains to local dining, shopping, and attractions. This makes attending the F-100 Super Nationals not just a truck event but a full weekend getaway.

For classic Ford fans, or anyone who appreciates automotive history, the Super Nationals is more than just a gathering—it’s a celebration of passion, craftsmanship, and the enduring legacy of the Ford F-100. Whether you’re chasing parts in the swap meet, chasing trophies in the judging lines, or simply soaking up the vintage vibe, this annual event is a highlight of the truck show calendar.
