AS SEEN IN OUR STREET TRUCKS JUNE 2026 ISSUE – Buy Now!
Ian, I knew the Chicago Truck Invasion was going to be big, but walking into SeatGeek Stadium on September 20, 2025, still blew me away. This was our first year covering it for Street Trucks, and I can already tell you we’ll be back every year from now on. Over 400 custom trucks rolled in from slammed minis, bagged OBS models, lifted diesels, lowriders, and everything in between, turning the West Lot into one massive truck party.
What really set this event apart was the burnout pit. Registered trucks lined up and took turns lighting up the tires in a full-on smoke show. The crowd was packed against the fence, phones up, cheering every time a set of rear tires cooked. I was running around the outside with my camera trying to catch the perfect shot of smoke pouring off the wheels and trucks sitting sideways. It was loud, it was chaotic, and it was exactly what a truck show should be.
The music kept the energy going all day and into the night. Regional Mexican acts like Panter Bélico, Dareyes De La Sierra, Victor Mendivil, and more hit the stage, and the place turned into a full-blown festival. Families were out, crews were hanging in truck beds, and the food vendors were slammed. You could feel the vibe. This wasn’t just a show; it was a real Midwest truck gathering.
The level of builds was impressive for a first-year event, and the crowd was as fired up as the trucks. Street Trucks is proud to have been there for the inaugural Chicago Truck Invasion, and we’re already marking the calendar for 2026.
If you’re into custom trucks and a good time, do yourself a favor and get to SeatGeek Stadium next year. I’ll be there with the camera, hunting for the next killer shot. See you in the pit, Chicago.
