Guess Who’s Back?!

ICE Cold has a history that goes back nearly two decades, and it’s a story that’s been shaped by multiple owners, each one leaving his mark along the way.

The truck was originally built by Mike Self, who partnered with Cary Iaccino of I.F. Customs to handle the suspension, back-half work, and a stock-floor body drop for a Street Trucks tech feature. From there, Joe Musso and Adam Madrigal stepped in to handle the body modifications, which included shaving just about everything, adding flush-mount LED taillights, custom wheel tubs, colored Line-X coating, and a Cadillac front clip with a prototype shortened and sectioned fiberglass bumper from I.F. Customs. Once the bodywork was wrapped up, the truck was finished in Jaguar Seafoam Mist—a color that still turns heads today.

Over time, the truck changed hands, eventually landing with RJ Silva, who added his own touch by color-matching the frame and refining the undercarriage with extensive chrome work. The truck later found its way to Chris Wilson, who would take the build to an entirely new level.

Chris’ vision for Ice Cold was a full rebirth. His first move was sending the truck to Lane Change Audio, where John Lane was given creative freedom with one goal—build a modern hot rod interior from firewall to tailgate. What followed was a complete transformation. The original interior was stripped out, and a new custom dash was built from scratch, centered around a 10-inch JVC source unit and Dakota Digital gauges.

The design flows seamlessly into the door panels, carrying a two-tone theme throughout the cabin. Diamond stitching adds texture across the seats and headliner, while illuminated Kicker audio components create a subtle floating effect when the lights go down.

To finish it off, Chris updated the stance with U.S. Mags Desperado wheels in gray, wrapped in Nitto Invo tires. Every inch of the truck was revisited—if it wasn’t painted, it was chromed.

It’s hard to believe the paint on Ice Cold is nearly 20 years old. The truck still commands attention and continues to rack up Best of Show awards wherever it goes.
