Legacy EV, a leader in high-end electric vehicle retrofits, today announced the debut of its latest masterpiece: a fully electric 1966 Chevy C10 restomod that redefines classic truck performance and style. Built from the ground up by the company’s expert team, this square-body icon blends timeless lowrider aesthetics with cutting-edge EV technology, set to turn heads at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas from November 4-7.

Founded by CEO Rob Ward and President Mavrick Knoles, Legacy EV merges deep-rooted automotive passion with electrical engineering prowess to pioneer sustainable mobility. Ward, who grew up wrenching in his grandfather’s auto shop and honed a 20-year career in electrical construction, has long championed EV conversions that preserve classic soul while delivering modern efficiency. Knoles, a University of Washington graduate and Teach for America alum with experience launching West Coast charter schools, brings a vision of EVs as gateways to clean-energy careers. Together, they’ve built Legacy EV into a force for innovation, specializing in premium restomods that fuse performance with environmental smarts.

At the helm is owner and Legacy EV founder Rob Ward, whose passion for sustainable mobility shines through in every detail. Powered by a custom EV drivetrain delivering instant torque and silent operation, this C10 eliminates the need for gas while preserving the soul of the original. The truck’s pearl white paint gleams under SEMA lights, accented by intricate lowrider-style graphics cascading across the roof, evoking California’s vibrant custom culture. Custom wire wheels add a vintage flair, wrapped in low-profile rubber that complements the air ride suspension, allowing the rig to lay frame flat on the ground for that signature stance.

The build process, captured in exclusive photos, highlights Legacy EV’s meticulous approach: from stripping the chassis to integrating the battery pack and modern controls, all without compromising structural integrity. “This isn’t just an EV conversion, it’s a love letter to the C10 legacy, built for those who demand performance without compromise.” Legacy EV’s work elevates the retrofit industry, offering turnkey solutions for classic owners seeking efficiency and exhilaration.

SEMA attendees are invited to experience the truck firsthand at Booth #24913 in Central Hall, adjacent to the FutureTech Studio zone. Follow the buzz on Instagram @roblegacyev and @legacy.ev for live updates and behind-the-scenes content.
