Prerunners and Toys

What started as a small but mighty toy drive at King Shocks put on by Terra Crew a few years ago has now turned into a four-block car and truck show extravaganza. The event also features a vendor exhibition, Terra Crew demo, food court, BMX/MTB demo, toy drive, and raffle thanks to the teams over at Rodeo X Rigs. They have taken a great idea and expanded it to the limits. Seeing the King Shocks truck overflowing with toys made this event a great success. The thousands of awesome vehicles on display along with hundreds of vendors to visit with plenty of food to eat only made the experience that much better.

The day started watching the Terra Crew boys and their friends tear it up in the demo area, followed by checking out the 50+ prerunner trucks on display. If you are a big overland guy or gal, then you don’t want to miss this event. There were so many overland rigs to check out and get inspiration from.

While we were walking around, we ran into Travis from MESO Customs to look over and talk about his awesome Tacoma named “HellTaco.” Expect to see that truck in these pages this year—what a unique build! After visiting our vendor friends and getting some food at the huge food court, we turned in our unwrapped toys and received raffle tickets, and then checked out the King Shocks headquarters. They had an array of shocks on display outside as well as the Terrible Herbst Baby Shark UTV. Right inside the door, Santa was ready to greet the kids—with Heat Wave sunglasses and all.

After visiting Santa, it was time for some raffles.The raffles were held multiple times during the day and had every prize you could think of from roof racks to R/C cars. We didn’t win anything but were stoked to participate. What a great event that helped A LOT of kids have a good Christmas. That’s what it’s all about. Who says you can’t have some fun while giving back? You will for sure be seeing us next year at the King Shocks Rodeo X Rigs Toy Drive!

A big thank you to all of those involved that made this event such a large success! Photos and videos never do it justice, which means you’ll have to come out and experience it for yourself when the next opportunity presents itself.
