SURF CITY GARAGE

6th Annual Surf City Garage Show

Huntington Beach is known for surfing—and for car shows—thanks to events like the annual Surf City Garage Show. This was the sixth year for this automotive beach gathering, and it was bigger than ever, covering three blocks around the Surf City Wax offices. Some cars waited in a long line just to get parked.

The show is open to all makes and models of American cars and trucks, and there were plenty of both. It helped that the SoCal weather was brilliant as usual, making it easy for everyone to attend. The morning started comfortably, then warmed up and the tree-lined streets provided good shade. Loads of spectators enjoyed Tim Miller’s Surf City Garage American Muscle Car Collection of 50-plus vintage muscle cars and gas station memorabilia, which lined the walls and hung from the ceiling.

This event is the only one-day show when the American Muscle Car Collection is open to the public. Once everyone got their fill of cool cars, the large crowd got full-on delicious grub provided by various food trucks. Plus, there was live entertainment, interesting vendors and fun for the whole family with the all-new Kid’s Zone. It was a complete show, and we’re looking forward to next year’s event.
