After freshening up our 2018 Chevy Tahoe LTZ, we wanted a tire that could keep the factory stance while making the daily drive feel more composed—and the Kenda Klever H/T in 285/45R22 delivered. This size was a direct replacement for the stock tire on our Tahoe (same overall diameter and width), so there was no drama with fitment, speedometer, or clearance—just a clean swap and an immediate change in road manners.

Right away, the Tahoe felt quieter at highway speeds and smoother over broken pavement. Part of that credit also goes to the new front and rear shocks, but the Klever H/T’s highway-focused design clearly helps calm down tread noise and vibration. Kenda positions this tire as a highway-terrain, all-weather option for trucks and SUVs, with a tread designed for confident road traction and a more comfortable ride.

In wet conditions, the tire’s siping and tread pattern do a solid job of keeping the Tahoe planted, and the XL load rating (114H) is a nice match for a heavier SUV that sees real-world use.

Kenda also backs the Klever H/T line with a treadwear warranty that can reach up to 60,000 miles depending on the application and sizing.

We also upgraded stopping power with EBC rotors and calipers, and the combination makes this Tahoe feel more confident top-to-bottom: calmer ride, less cabin noise, and better control when it’s time to slow things down.
