Where’s something about Tuckin’ in the Valley that pulls me back every year, and 2025 was no exception. Held at the Cherokee Casino and Hotel in Roland, Oklahoma, from September 12 to 14, this third-annual mini-truck and audio extravaganza has quickly become a staple for enthusiasts who crave a laid-back yet high-energy weekend. As a photographer for Street Trucks, I’ve covered my share of events, but this one stands out for its genuine sense of community, with folks from all over rolling in with everything from slammed S-10s to wild customs, all united by a love of the lifestyle.
The show kicked off Friday at noon, drawing hundreds of vehicles by early afternoon. All makes and models are welcome, which keeps things diverse, with Nissan Hardbodies rubbing fenders with modern Tacomas and everything in between. Top 75 awards and Best-Of categories rewarded the standouts, but the real draw was the atmosphere—a mix of family-friendly fun and serious competition. The wing-eating contest had the crowd cheering, the atmosphere delivered controlled adrenaline, and the low-car limbo tested setups to their limits. Audio battles stole the spotlight too, with USACi hosting a 4x and national record event alongside MECA demos that shook the ground.
The trucks were next-level this year. I spent hours framing shots of bagged minis with intricate paint schemes, custom interiors, and incredible audio system setups that could rattle your teeth. One weekend highlight was watching trucks cruise Highway 64 at night. The event’s setup at the casino added convenience, free admission, ample parking, and a cruise route that looped back to Auto Finders, making it easy to hop between the show and enjoy some downtime.
What keeps us coming back? It’s the weekend vibe: a fun crew of builders swapping stories over burgers, an audience that’s as excited to spectate as to participate, and an electric energy that builds from dawn until dusk. If you’re into minis or audio, Tuckin’ in the Valley is your spot. Mark September 11-13, 2026, on your calendar. I’ll see you there, camera in hand.
