Change is inevitable, and people are often wary of the changing environment. Sometimes you have to wait out certain trends and fads to see if they stick. For Gary and Molly Brewer of Zephyrhills, Florida, they took the long way around the changing truck culture. First purchasing their 2016 Ford F-250 brand-new from a local dealership, Gary wanted a diesel truck that he could lift for his everyday life. While sitting at the dealership, Gary ordered his first lift kit before the ink was dry on the paperwork.

The first suspension boost was a modest 8-inch lift, but once the 20-inch wheels were mounted, Gary realized that other trucks were still much higher. The second step was adding a King coilover conversion and changing the leaf springs, which now brought the diesel up to fourteen inches taller than factory height. Gary took his Ford to a show in Daytona Beach, Florida, and was amazed at the lifted trucks there. Gary and Molly approached a few of the best lifted trucks on the beach, and they all had one thing in common: the ones they liked the most were equipped with Plan B Fabrication components. Luckily, Plan B is located relatively close to their home, so they made an appointment to drop by.

Robert Pique at Plan B went through the truck and began the overhaul. The stock rear brackets were removed, and the front stock shock towers were fabricated and powdercoated. Custom web trusses were made for the front and rear axles and welded on. Triple stainless overlays were installed as well as overlays for the frame. The truck now stood a massive twenty-two inches from stock height by way of adjustable coilovers for better clearance.

Now that the Ford was lifted for the third time and fit the Brewers’ liking perfectly, it was time to redo the stock interior. Gary opted for the full black leather upgrade from the factory, so adding a custom design to it was easy enough to plan for. Gary and Molly enlisted Highline Auto Sports in Tampa, Florida, to add red diamond stitching to the black leather with white inserts. TV monitors were added to each headrest so the rear seat passengers had some entertainment. The factory stereo was removed, and a Kenwood CD/DVD unit was mounted and wired to a Kicker system, including two 12-inch subwoofers under the rear seats.

For added power, the Brewers had Daniel at Twin Diesel Performance in Lakeland, Florida, add a Flo Pro exhaust, a K&N cold air intake, as well as the delete. Pela Motorsports added a custom tune to verify the F-250 was running at peak performance. Gary and his son Dale added a Decked CargoGlide in the bed of the pickup to make things easier to get to. As the truck began coming together, Gary had Plan B add more custom touches, including a Cervini cowl hood, JayFab bumpers with Monster Hooks, and a custom grille that was fabricated by Overkill Fab in Michigan.

Some creative touches Gary chose to include were AMP Research steps that were finished with custom-printed SeaDek material. An UnderCover hard-top bed topper was mounted to the rear to protect the CargoGlide system from the elements. Thirty-two LED lights were wired by Jonathan from Efficient Lighting underneath the Ford all throughout the suspension to light up all the hard work that was done. MW Customs then changed the front headlights of the massive truck to accentuate the new front end.

With the F-250 still rocking the stock white exterior, the Brewers wanted to change with the times. “I wanted to stand out with this third makeover,” Gary tells Diesel World. “The stock white just wasn’t getting enough attention.” To change that, Gary contacted Pixelwerks in Houston, and once they agreed on a design, the Ford was put on a trailer and taken to Texas. Within the next two weeks at Pixelworks, Jose added the custom carbon fiber textured wrap that included hidden spiders throughout, as well as the company names that had a hand in the build, including Fury Off-Road, American Force Wheels, and a Plan B Fabrication logo that was added to the gas mask on the bed topper. Once the wrap was completed, Gary and Molly headed to Houston to see the finished product and were amazed with the quality of work. The Brewers debuted the Ford they named Dun4Sho at SEMA in Las Vegas to an overwhelmingly positive reaction.

Gary wishes to thank his amazing and supportive wife, Molly, for all her help and love during the entire build and at each process change. A special thanks goes to Gary’s son, Dale, for all his help, as well as Greg Loftis, Katherine, Ed, Jamie, Nick from Fury Off-Road, John Vang and Jason Sandusky from American Force Wheels, John Vo and Jose from Pixelworks, Robert Pique from Plan B Fabrication, Jayson from JayFab, Zephyr Polish, and Cody from Southbound Polish for making the truck shine. Dun4Sho may have gone through the restyling process three different times, but we believe it found the right finish this time.
